I was hearing a podcast where "Guerrilla marketing" was discussed briefly. I had never heard of it before but it seems to stem from a book by a guy called Jay Conrad Levinson that described tactics that individuals or organisations could use to promote anything without a budget to pay for conventional advertisements.

Not exactly a new concept. Ever since the first cavebloke stuck a corncob down his pants while chasing a gazelle in front of the cavebirds (who gossiped about it, of course) people have been pulling off publicity stunts and using viral marketing. How about a promo for Jambell.com, James? Perhaps a bit of titilating photography might bring the punters in...(DC)
