Hi Pub Quiz Addicts!

I'm from Firecracker Films, a Television Production Company, and we're looking into the phenomenon of Pub Quizzes.

We're looking for interesting characters / teams, who are passionate about Pub Quizzes! Perhaps you travel around the country in an attempt to pick up as many different pub quiz victories as possible, or maybe you are on a mission to win your local league?

Do get in touch! tobystrutt@firecrackerfilms.com or 020 7349 3405

Hi,

Re: Quiz number 6

Gollum the vulture was taught how to fly.

I think the quiz got this question a bit wrong. An 'emmett' is the Cornish word for an ant, and is what the Cornish still call tourists today.

The Book of Revelations is the last book in the Bible - unless you have a version with the Apochrypha books in it.

At the end of the podcast, the quizmaster mentions something about a website for the quiz. Sure enough, if you go to www.cptquiz.co.uk you can find details about the Crystal Tavern Pub Quiz, and in its archive section you can find all the questions and answers used - including for quiz 6. ;-)

Looking forward to the next quiz.

[JC]Thanks for that Jezz... Don't you guys go looking for any cheats on that site before you do the quiz though...

I know what you mean Lisabette, the questions at the CPT quiz are bastard hard! We usually give a whoop if we are not bottom of all the teams.

I am going to try and record some from other pubs to mix up the really difficult quizzes with some easier ones so we don't all end up depressed...

Cheers

hi.

i am really pleased that you take the time and make the effort to record and podcast these pub quizzes. i really like to listen to them. i tend to wait until i am having a bad day and then give a listen to put me in a better mood.

i dont usually keep score, since i struggle with some of the anglo-centric questions (but they still are my favorite ones). i am an american. i live in the northeast us in a state called vermont. my boyfriend is british, but he wasnt into the pub quiz thing so we never went to them when we were living in glasgow. so this is my substitute.

anyways, thanks for making them available. its great to be able to listen in!

take care,

lisabette.

OK, Great Jezz. I will definately keep them comming from the Crystal Palace Tavern then.

Any other requests from any other listeners? From my server stats, I figure there must be somewhere between 150 and 300 other people like Jezz. Tell me what you want and what you don't want...

Cheers

James
